Mission

Support Black Owned (SBO) is a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to the advancement of Black and minority owned businesses and organizations.  Our mission is to support businesses, organizations, and individuals that are working to close the economic divide between minority and main stream establishments. Our goals include the promotion of scholarship within the Black community, enhancement of visibility for Black owned establishments, and propagation of community-building initiatives.

SBO is committed to addressing the lack of visibility impeding the success of many Black establishments in an environment saturated by the dominance of big business. We strive for the development of symbiotic relationships between our communities through the promotion of networking, scholarship, and mutual patronage.  We advocate the promotion of equal access to capital and the reversal of industry trends that foster business failure among Black establishments. We believe that Black businesses should receive whole-hearted support within our communities in order to achieve socioeconomic upliftment. The implementation of these beliefs and sustenance of these traditions will lead to the strengthening of our communities and our future generations.
