  • Library - Showcases books authored by Black intellectuals, revolutionaries, pioneers, entrepreneurs, and creative minds.
  • Deals - Presents special deals and programs offered by various vendors.
  • Links - A collection of interesting websites showcasing artists and intellectuals, organizations, business establishments, and other parties involved in the Black community.

We are a volunteer run, not-for-profit initiative dedicated to the growth and advancement of Black & minority students, businesses and organizations. Our goals include the promotion of scholarship within the Black community and visibility for Black owned establishments and community-building initiatives.

We strive for the development of symbiotic relationships between our communities through the promotion of networking, scholarship, and mutual patronage.  We advocate the promotion of equal access to capital and the reversal of institutional trends that foster the failure of Black establishments and communities.  We believe supporting Black businesses and establishments will play a crucial role in achieving socioeconomic upliftment, and the sustainable implementation of these beliefs will strengthen our communities and open opportunities for future generations.

What is Support Black Owned's position on multi-level marketing (MLM) practices?

SBO views multi-level marketing practices as illegitimate ventures that hinge their profitability on a predatory pyramid scheme. Much has been written about the ethical questions raised by such practices, so in the interest of providing a concise summary of the ethical concerns at the root of SBO's opposition to the promotion of MLMs, we kindly direct you to this article.
